They vould draw pictures of Gene Simnons sticking his tongue out for Tie and stuff, the whole nine yards. I attended two concerts that ^ear, both at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium. One was the nfamous Kiss when they still wore makeup and truly were the gods of hunder. The other was the awenspiring Village People. I haven't really thought too much about either of those groups >ince then. Kiss sort of mellowed, lost their theatrics and dropped into a sea of bad rock groups. The Village People wallowed in obscurity after "In The Navy" fell from die charts. Last year, I heard the Village People were making a comeback tour. They played Charleston but I couldn't make it Friday, the same was true when the Masquerade,,a nifty Atlanta club, welcomed the "macho men" to a Disco Explosion dance party complete with a groovy dress up contest and all. Step over Redd Kross, The Village People are here to stay. Who said disco was dead?
