The EPSCOR program is correcting the geographic bias with grants to increase research competitiveness in these states. Twelve other states have since been added to the program. USC and its state EPSCOR partners, Clemson and the Medical University of South Carolina, have received nearly $4 million in NSF EPSCOR funding since the program's inception. The DOE grants, which go into effect Sept. 30, are the first EPSCOR monies from a federal granting agency other than NSF. Other agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Defense Department are expected to implement their own EPSCOR funding projects, Durig said. inessman of fraud security laws by fraudulently misleading investors and by selling unregistered securities without licenses.
