Gamecock By BRANT LONG Assistant Sports Editor "Last night, coach Kurt Wilson took his team to their tenth consecutive victory." Wait. Coach Wilson? Well, not yet but the 6-foot 2-inch USC defensive tackle hopes so. "Someday, I'd like to become a head coach at the big high school level," Wilson said. It won't be long before Wilson gets his shot at coaching. The senior has been given the okay to stay on as an assistant coach for Sparky Woods next season. "It's really a great honor that I'm going to be able to work with the staff we have here. I think they're a great staff and I'm looking forward to working for them," Wilson said. For right now, though, Wilson concentrates on making tackles on the field. He is sixth on the team in total tackles and has a teamhigh five total tackles for a loss. '* ? i f r? We have a sound defense. There's a lot of little stuff we have to work on. We still have to prove ourselves," Wilson said.
