TTie USC spring sports season was officially kicked off Monday afternoon with a media luncheon at Williams-Brice Stadium. The men's tennis team, under the direction of 1989 NCAA Coach- of-the-Year Kent DeMars, was ranked No. 5 in the country at pre-season. Head Coach Arlo Elkins will lead a young team that has only one senior, Carolina Culik. Joining Culik will be the sophomore trio of Nathalie Rodriquez, Michelle Duda and Robin Deitch. The Lady Gamecocks will face 11 of the top 25 ranked teams this season and are currently 4-0. Another nationally ranked women's team is the Softball squad led by coach Joyce Compton.
