With that in mind and if the athletic department really needs to boost its television revenues, I have a few suggestions. Why not televise, a la the Watergate and Iran Contra hearings, a few of the myriad investigations that swirl around that region of campus? Or, why not produce for syndication a T.V. sitcom soap opera, "Lawsuits Loved and Lost?" In truth, I suggest that we all ignore USC sports for about two years. Those who enjoy intercollegiate sports com petition would be free to attend the games without embarrassment, and the local press and news media would be free to discover some worthwhile accomplishments of the USC community. For example, the recent "Sigmund Freud Antiquities" exhibitions at McKissick Museum was a triumph. Try to imagine Thomas Cooper and South Carolina Libraries, McKissick, The Archeaology Institute or USC Dance Company with a $2.5 million reserve fund.
