The Carolina Coliseum's Director of Marketing Wendy Oglesby said the computer will allow students to buy tickets for all events at the coliseum, Koger Center and Longstreet Theatre, and any out-of-town events that sell tickets through the SCAT network. The service will open next semester, Oglesby said, with a SCAT terminal and an operator to serve students. She said the exact location and the operating hours of the outlet are as yet undetermined. Czechs contii By The Associated Press PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia ? Students pressed on with sit-ins today after at least 200,000 people rallied across the country, shouting their disgust at the announcement of a coalition government still dominated by Communists. "They must go!" protesters in Prague chanted Monday in a roaring condemnation of the Communist leadership. "They lied to us again!" The euphoria of a week ago, when the popular movement to end orthodox Communist rule brought down the old hard-line leadership, appeared to have been replaced by anger that the Communists were reneging on promises of reform. The Civic Forum, under public pressure moving away from its previously stated role as strictly an opposition coalition, said Monday it would propose its own candidates for the government On Monday, people at street rallies in Prague and in the Slovak capital of Bratislava and at least three other cities voiced outrage at the naming Sunday of a coalition government topheavy with Communists. "Students are a big market for events at the coliseum," she said. "We'd like to do as much business with students as possible, and making tickets more easily available helps towards this goal." Convenience was cited as tfte major benetit to students. Like all SCAT locations, the outlet will charge a $1 service fee for every ticket sold, Oglesby said. Students wishing to avoid this charge can do so by buying their tickets at the coliseum and Koger Center box offices. Students have mixed reactions to the new service. "I think it's a good idea, but I'd walk down Que govermei At least 50,000 people rallied in Bratislava and the official CTK news agency also reported protest rallies in the Bohemian city of Usti nad Labcm to the north, Gottwaldov to the east and Ostrova on the Polish border. The new 21-member Cabinet includes just five non-Communists, with Communists holding all the key ministries. Thirteen members are holdovers from the administration that resigned last month under public pressure. Last week, the Communist Party officially relinquished its 41-year monopoly on power and Adamec raised people's hopes by promising a coalition Government. The concessions followed a two-hour general strike Nov. 27 that was organized by Civic Forum as a referendum on one-party Communist rule. The strike paralyzed the country; millions of people poured into the streets. The country's university students, the driving force behind street protests that culminated in the general strike, began a sit-in strike two weeks ago to demand democratic change. They were to have ended the strike Monday but decided not to after the new government was named. At Monday's rally in Prague, the first in the capital since the general strike, and a gathering in Bratislava that drew some 50,000 people, the crowds were increasingly militant. Grey Stone installed to the coliseum to save a dollar ? unless it was an out-of-town show that I'd have to pay a service charge for anyway," freshman science and math major, Kelly Finn, said. Journalism freshman Heather Taylor sees it differently. "It will be more convenient for a lot of students because it's in a central location," she said. The university is especially interested in selling tickets to Koger Center events, Oglesby said, adding that easier access to the tickets might hopefully increase ticket sales among members of the Carolina community. The new SCAT location will be open to the general public, although it is expected to mainly serve Carolina students, faculty and staff, Oglesby said. nt protests try, called on workers to organize free trade unions. He said the official unions have lost the trust of workers. Civic Forum spokesman Jiri Dienstbier said the strike committees could evolve into a basis for free trade unions. Vaclav Maly, a Civic Forum leader, said the opposition planned to enter its own candidates for the new government. Dienstbier explained that opposition faces increasing public demands to establish a clear-cut political program. First Deputy Premier Bohumil Urban worked to arrange further talks between Adamec and opposition leaders this week. Dienstbier said Civic Forum would be presenting its demands for a new Cabinet at the meeting. In another indication of the strength of opposition pressure, a parliamentary commission appointed to investigate the harsh police repression of a student demonstration on Nov. 17 delivered its report. The CTK state news agency said the committee reported that 1,569 riot police used brutal and undue force against the demonstrators. Public outrage at the police tactics helped launch what became 11 straight days of massive pro-democracy demonstrations. nmed her ran to Columbia Hall for help.
