At that time, "it was a temporary fulltime position," according to Stewart. The position has now been fully funded allowing the full-time personnel status. Fifty candidates applied for the position. "We thought a lot of Herbert. During the past year, I have had the priviledge to work with Herbert. He is student and service-oriented," Stewart said. Of special concern is the intramural football program. It will be Camp's responsibility to make pro posals to eliminate some of the dangers involved in the sport, according to Stewart. Reorganization of duties has also been on Stewart's agenda since being hired as the Campus Recreation Director one year ago. The intramural position will include the responsibilities of organizing special events, a task previously assigned to the former Director of Sports Clubs and Special Events.
