Debate. Continued from | amining foreign teaching assistants. Melvin Stroble, the brother of current SG President Kelvin Stroble, said he is running for a continuation of progress. Stroble said he would fight to keep tuition from being raised any more than necessary. He said p last semester's tuition increase was unnecessary, oecause it was in anticipation of a lower funding bill from the State House than was passed. He said the increase laised extra money for the administration. Stoble also said he would fight for free, on-campus phones in the Russell House and said he wanted to turn the Golden Spur into a non-alcoholic lounge, with days when alcohol could be served. The candidates were asked what they would do to prevent the administration from taking away the powers of discipline, licensing and parking. Eppes said student apathy could be curbed by publishing a pamphlet to tell students what was going on. Hall said the students needed a forceful speaker to present their views to the administration. Houser also said she would do her best to convey student thoughts to the administration. Stanton said he would bother the administration until it gave in, but that he could only do that with student help. d with Book: \ i the SuperSale at Iniversity Bookstore is: ri Gamecocks r :he Days . . . . r sat Graduation Gifts at a Gre? iys: >r League Cookbook. . . >ns Better Body Book. .
