The articles on bulimia prompted me to share my experience, strength and hope with all who are wandering around hopelessly in search of an answer to their dilemma. Over the past nine years, I have experienced the hell of both emaciation and weight gain from binging. The methods I used to maintain a normal weight now make me cringe. I can relate to and empathize with the women who were open enough to reveal their hidden, but deadly magic ? gorging and purging. Bulimia, compulsive overeating, and anorexia are different guises of the same disease. Each form of this disease is equally hellish and relates to a deep sense of isolation that is covered up by excessive consumption , inc.vtcnhi ur iuj i i ?I ette rs of food (or for the poor anorexic, starvation). From a consensus of our fellow students, we think we can safely say that the vast majority are very upset over this unnecessary move by Marcum. To dismiss a man of Bell's stature is ridiculous, especially during his first year as head coach. Bell has experience, character, integrity (he wouldn't cheat, like some we know), and has gained respect from his players. , y/e thinH that with these things he iQHsnaiE^ VTru 3*1 srom Lm :\11 (EimPPEOT JvJ WW D\ CHWaiBRr p\ aids Bulimic common pain and anguish. It is true that their eating disorder will never go away, but there is an organization that can help, and I found my answer there. The group is called Overeaters Anonymous, and it is made up of fantastic people who, like me, have eating disorders of all types. Overeaters Anonymous is a 12 step program and a sister organization to Alcoholics Anonymous. In fact, we use much of the same literature.
