Last year the freshmen enrollment in South Carolina College was 94. This year it is 134, according 10 William mouici, master of South Carolina College. "I think it (the increase) is a combination of increasing awareness of the potential quality of undergraduate studies and the economic situation," Mould said. Ward said he reached that conclusion after talking with faculty members. He said the possibility of proposing a new policy was discussed. "If we came up with something that would be satisfactory with the faculty, it might be considered," Ward said. In other Senate news: The Communications Committee is asking senators to talk to University 101 classes about Student Government. Communications is also discussing the possibility of video taping Student Senate meetings and showing them in Russell House. "If the students won't come to the Senate meetings, then we'll bring the meetings to them," Yvonne Padgett, Communications Committee chairman said.
