With 2:30 left in Monday's USC-Penn State men's basketball game, Duane Kendall took a pass from Kenny Holmes and scored on a slam dunk to give the Gamecocks a 60-58 lead over the favored Nittany Lions. The bucket gave USC it's f:rst lead since 12:01 and was the product of a comeback that saw the Gamecocks fall behind by as much as 11 (51-40 with 8:37 left in the game). But the Lions' D wight Gibson took over and scored four points in a matter of two minutes to give the Lions a 62-60 win over the visiting Gamecocks. It was an extremelv questionable call by an official that took the game away from the Gamecocks. With 10 seconds on the clock and USC down by two, Gerald Peacock took the ball on the right side and drove the baseline.
