Gaudette refused and was cut from the team that day. Her scholarship, a one year contract renewable at the end of each year, was not enewed. "He released me from his care, saying I would just continue to have problems with my arm." After Lunceford's diagnosis, Gaudette asked Women's Athletic Director Pam Parsons if she could see another doctor for a second opinion. The second opinion, however, disagreed with all previous diagnoses. 'THAT'S WHEN I stopped seeing doctors through them (the university) and got my own," Gaudette said. "I was seen by university doctors for a year and never was given a urm diagnosis. My arm never healed. It either got worse or it stayed the same," she said. mts coun Albright and Robert B. Mautz sent letters to James E. Bostic Jr., commission chairman, agreeing with and supporting Norton's letter.
