4 professo V Four professors have been named f chairmen of academic departments at USC, * President James Holder man has anJ nounced . Dr. Donald L. Jones succeeds Dr. Laurin firubaker as chairman of the Department oi Religious Studies. Brubaker retired in May. Dr. Robert Cannon Jr., Dr. Harriet G. Williams and Dr. William B. Ward were named chairmen of the departments of Computer Science, Physical Education and Health Education, respectively. CANN ON WAS chosen after the Department of Math, Computer Science and Statistics was divided into the Department of Math and Statistics and the Department of ComDuter Science. Jones joined the university in 1967. He i holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, a bachelor of divinity from Methodist Theological School in Ohioi and a doctorate degree from Duke University. Prior to his appointment to USC he was an assistant professor of religion at Earlham College and School of Religion in 1 Richmond, Indiana. Cannon came to USC in 1973 as an ! assistant professor and was named I associate professor in 1977.
