McNair and more than 180 USC students were honored at the annual Omicron Delta Kappa Awards day last Thursday. McNair was presented the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award as out standing USC alumni. The Sullivan Award is also presented to a male and female senior who have demonstrated exemplary service to the university. THIS YEAR'S student winners were Pamela K. Gardner, an English and psychology major, and William Sims Buice, a pre-medical student. McNair, who served as governor from 1965 to 1971, received his bachelor's and law degrees from USC. He is chairman of the J.P. Gardner was also awarded Omicron Delta Kappa's Outstanding Senior Award. Mick Couick, a junior English major, won the Thomas Craig Leadership Award. The Steven N. Swanger Award went to Johr Pincelli, a business senior. Winona Vernberg, dean of the College of Health, was recognized as Mortar Board's Woman of the Year. Lauren E. Brubaker Jr., professor of religious studies, was given the Richard Rempel Award for ex cellence in his profession and service to students, colleagues and USC. THE PHI BETA Kappa Freshman Scholarship Awards went to those frshmen who maintained a 4.0 grade point average for both semesters. Winners were: Donna L. Buff; Richard L. Without the approval, Special Programs would not have been able to participate in the All-Nighter sponsored each fall by IIHUU.
