I grimace as Snoopy sits on his dog house in a santa suit day after day demonstrating his ability T hito m \7 LU tUUUl UUV, I\ H ?1 UO, JL W1VV 11?J tongue as women's magazine after women's magazine boasts 101 gifts to make from a turkey carcass. I wince as I drive under precariously hanging red and green Christmas bells decorating the city streets, threatening to drop little pieces of themselves all over my car i 1 tifle the urge to ask an Optimist just once the percentage of children that actually need help buying a tree. Yet, year after year, I manage to survive the biggest and most joyous holiday known to man or elf. I endure all the Christmas rituals, including death by gluttony, singing "Heart-felt Her Old Ankles Sing" until I know the words like the back of my hand, and straining to see just one stray snowflake in . degree weather on Christmas morning. There I stood with a rather obviously flushed facial region, a mouth that was doing toe touches and waiting for some form of vocalization U>' ansmit, and a pair of shifting eyei; hat appeared to be searching for an excuse in the immediate environment.
