They join signee Jake Heilich, also from Meramec CC, who enrolled at Carolina in January. Four freshmen have indicated they plan to enroll and compete as walk-ons for spots on the squad. They include forward Paul Stockwell of Foxboro, Mass., defenders Eric Hawes of Ellicott City, Md. and John Murphy of Burke, Va., and goalkeeper David Whittington of Irmo. Goodchild, 6-0, 170, played on a high school team that won the Florida state championship in 1979 and was runnerup in 1978.
