[ HEW nlans trip next ir i I Se Dining sei By Ron Stokes Qamacock Staff Writer University Dining Services is conducting a survey in which students can offer suggestions on ways of improving dining service, according to Dianne Lewis, coordinator of student relations for University Dining Services. A questionnaire was administered to USC students Feb. 6 by ARA Food Services Company asking for their individual food preferences. In doing so, dining services can get a "good idea of what people like to eat," Lewis said. Managers are responsible for arranging their own menus, according to Lewis. She said a report is also being prepared for the S.C. Human Affairs Commission, which is investigating the USC Affirmative Action program for "hiring disparities." Fox said the report for the S.C. Human Affairs commission was to be completed by Feb. 14, but because of "a case of flu and the (recent) ice storm," her office was granted an extension. "We hope to have the report ready by this week," Fox said. USC is among a number of South Carolina schools under investigation by HEW.
