Center. The Mike Genova Karate school, his brother John (Jenova's Karate School and (JSC's club placed in eight of the top twelve spots, in eluding three of four first places. T1IK ISC' Tournament, initiated last vear bv USC karate instructor Keith Vitali, hud only two team* competing during that first year. "Last year we had only two teams here, USC and Clenova," Vitali said. "This year there are - seven, and next year hopefully we'll have ten teams." Despite the additional teams lor this year's tournament, LSC and the Clenova schools still dominated. In the beginning white belt competition, the karute school <?l Greenville, San Chapman won the first place trophy, with teams Irom LSC taking second, third and fourth places. "There were people out there lot j USC that had never lought before," an impressed Keith Vitali said And they were lighting ex perienced people."
