Union Sponsors Rapids Race The University Union Trips and .Expeditions Committee is sponsoring Carolina's first annual river raft race at 2 p.m. April 6. rganizers of the race said it will begin at a point north of the 1-20 bridge acorss the Saluda River and will finish at the Blossom Street Bridge on the Congaree River. The course is about five miles long. Rafts can be made of any material, but cannot cost more than $25 to build. The rafts must be hand-made and no commercially available rafts will be allowed to run. Organizers said the entry fee is $2 and all rafts must run in a specific category. Categories available are: commercial, Greek (fraternity of sorority), all female, independent, dormitory or mixed (male and female). PROTEST that all the South is for Nixon.
