Buildings Dedicated Saturday Two USC buildings received names in ceremonies on campus Saturday as the Wallac- Thomson Student Health Center a Ad Callcott Social Sciences Center were dedicated. The new $1.8 million campus infirmary is named in memory of Union County native A. Wallace Thomson. The former business administration building, which now houses parts of the USC College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, honors the late Wilfrid Hardy Callcott, USC history professor and administrator for 45 years. The Thomson Student Health Center, completed this year, has more than 40 beds in semi-private rooms, a medical laboratory and full-time staff of 15 nurses and eight physicians to expedite medical treatment as routine as colds or as demanding as a flu epidemic. Callcott Social Sciences Center, a 50,500 square-foot structure built in 1955, has classrooms, faculty offices and research facilities for the Department of Government and International Studies, Institute of International Studies, Bureau of Governmental Research and Service, Social and Behavioral Sciences Laboratory, and the Department of Geography'. The buildings were named by action of the USC Board of Trustees earlier this year. Vice Chairman of the Board James W. Cothran presided at Saturday's dedication ceremonies. The 8 p.m. public recital is in Fraser Hall on the USC campus. Works to be peformed are the Dumky Trio by Dvorak and the Trio, Op. 67, by Shostakovich.
