"Offensively we will have more depth even though the offensi line lost a few starters," he said. "I think we will probably be better team this year." Rhino's 96-yard punt return against Carolina last year was t longest return in the nation last season. He netted 441 yards on punt returns. . The Charlotte native also finished eighth nationally with eigi in terceptions. He returned one for a touchdown. "We believe South Carolina is one of the most physical teams N play each year," said Rhino. "It's hard toknowwhat to expect th year because of their new offense. "They have to be excited about their new offense and It will be tough game," he said. Rhino said his main assignment in defensh the veer is that of second containment. " "At free safety I'd rather face a pro offense because I can read better than the veer, which has more faking and bellying. "We expect South Carolina will be more of an option team, b they'll probably throw a lot to keep us honest,"said Rhino. Rhioo switched from defensive halfback to free safety this year "On cornerback you have to be real quick and go for the option < drop into the zone," said Rhino. "But at free safety you have shuffle more and wait. At first I was doing everything too quick. "We run a four-deep zone on pass defense and I'm responsible ki both sides," he said. Interestingly enough, Rhino played his first game on defeni against the Carolina freshmen two years ago and came up with foi interceptions. Until then he had been used as a running back, t position he played in high school. Rhino said the teams that give him the most trouble are ones th do a lot of play action. The 5-10, 179, junior, who averaged 17.6 yards per punt return lai year, said "We work on punt returns at least 15 minutes a day i practice." When asked what was the key to being a successful kick returnei he said, "Good blocking and breaking through the first wave 4 blockers. "I usually prepare myself mentaRy for each game by studyim films and then go out and play football," said Rhino. "I've graded I per cent some games and didn't intercept a pass or run a punt baci I m primarily a punt return man, "he said. "You don't get hit a hard as you do on kick-off returns, but I also like to return kickoffs But I don't know if I'll be returning kickoffs too much." The All-America said the Yellow Jackets will be similar to Tec teams of the past on offense. "We are mainly a throwing team, bu we'll run a lot because of the depth at tailback with Greg Horne an Tom Lang back. Our ground game should be even better this year.
