For exam ple, prior to last week's encounter with Don Strock and Virginia Tech, Carolina had surrendered an aver age of 86.3 yards per game through the air; enemy passers had com pleted just 39 per cent of their attempts. However, after Strock and Co. completed their marvelous show, the USC totals jumped. Now, the secondary is yielding 122.6 yards per game passing. Quarterbacks are completing over 45 per cent of their passes. But worst of all, Florida State is coming to town this weekend. That means more trouble. To say nothing of Gary Huff. Any win this season has to be termed nice. But a win over Florida State would be especially nice. And in view of Don Strock's good time last week, such a win is more than improbable. Cycling club coming events The USC Cycling club has four events coming up before the Chris tmas break. On Nov. 18-19 there will oe a cycling-camping trip to Aiken State Park. Bikers will ride forty miles to the site while the gear is brought in by van. On Nov. 26 the last time trial of the season will be held on Percival Rd. Dec. 2-3 and over night trip to Bell Camp will give the riders a 14 mile workout, and on Dec. 9 a road race from Columbia to Jenkinsville will take bikers over the 44-mile course in three grueling stages.
