Afro presid insufficient The failure of the Afro Association to reach the entire Carolina Community is because of an insufficient budget and lack of planning, Atlee Prince, newly elected president, said in his ac ceptance speech. Emphasis will be placed on different projects than before, Prince said. "We should pass the I stage of organizing just for I organization's sake. We should I have a specific purpose and a 4 membership indulging in that < purpose," he said. For the next school year, the I president, with his cabinet, has I drawn up a tentative schedule of 4 activities. Harris April 17 through April 21. The program is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Dr. Harris, past president and member of the governing council for the Society of Research and Child Development, has authored the book 'Children's Drawings As Measures of Intellectual Maturity'. He has co-authored a book on Child Development as a Basis for Education. He is past president of the American Psychological Association Division on Developmental Psychology and a consultant to the Urited States Journalism awards to be given The annual J. Rion McKissick Lecture, installation of new members in Kappa Tau Alpha, and Journalism Awards Night are on a USC College of Journalism program at 7 p.m. tonight at the Town House Motor Inn. Dr. Charles C. Russell, chair man of the Department of Com munications Arts at Cornell University, will speak at the banquet. For many years he has pioneered in the exploration of the relationship of psychology to art. Other activities include consulting editor for Journal of Comparative and Physiological Psychology and membership in the Task Force Number Four, Joint Commission on Mental Health of Children.
