Sailing The USC Sailing Club will sponsor the annual USC In vitational Regatta which will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday .at Lake Murray. Five schools from around the state are expected. Debbie Taylor, who finished third in the intermediate freestyle at Charlotte, will team with sophomores Linda Scott, Jeannie Geiger, and Michelle Kennedy to give the USC squad more depth. Freshman Winnie Dannelly has provided many points to USC's scoring in the vaulting competition to back the spectacular per formances of Ms. Stein (four firsts in the Winthrop meet), and Mary Jane Sullivan (three seconds and a third against Winthrop). Ms. Helen Timmerans, coach of the Womens Gymnastic team, has praised the team's efforts, "The girls have done a tremendous job in preparing for these meets." The winners of Saturday's meet will earn the right to compete in a national meet to be held in the future. Competition will be con ducted in various groupings, age and level (beginning, in termediate, and advanced) being the dominant factors in the break down.
