Dirac, a Florida State University visiting professor who won the 1930 Nobel Prize for Physics, will speak at the Southeastern Section meeting of the American Physical Society (APS) held at USC from Thurs Concert will be Sunday The third concert of the Chamber Music Series will be in Fraser Hall Sunday. Featured works will be by Hindemith, Purcell, Handel and Prokofieff. Three newcomers to the USC music faculty will per form. Flautist will be Constance Grambling, USC Instructor of Flute an also the principal flute with the Columba Phillharmocic Orchestra. Ms. Grambling has appeared as loloist with the New Orleans Philharmonic and performed at the Blossom Music Festival in Cleveland this summer. Featured pianist will be USC teaching associate in piano Rayna Barroll. Mrs. Barroll will perform a program of contemporary piano music at Rutgers University in November. Tepor Harry Cardwell also will be presented. Cardwell, a USC instructor of voice holds a masters degree from the New England Conservatory and taught at the University of Texas for two years. James Pritchard, saxophonist, and pianists Nancy Hill and John Kenneth Adams also will be ap pearing in the concert. About 500 scientists and their families will attend the sessions, most of which will be at the Physical Science Center. Most of the three days will consist of presentations of scientific papers in various fields of physics. About 200 persons will participate on the program. W. Dexter Whitehead of the University of Virginia is Southeastern Section of APS chairman Eugen Merzbacher, University of North Carolina, is vice chairman and also program chairman for this meeting. USC's Department of Physics and Astronomy is host for the meeting. The fraternity "died" because of its predomination by graduating seniors and graduate students who left last spring or summer. Robert Woods, steerihg com mittee treasurer, said a mem bership drive and nomination of officers was held last night as the first step in getting new un dergraduate members. Another membership drive will be con ducted in January, he said. USC delegates to the Pi Sigma Epsilon national convention in April will suggest the change to the group's national officials, he said. Although Pi Sigma Epsilon was created for business majors, Woods continued, other students with an interest or experience in business administration are in vited to join.
