At USC, the Contemporary University Program offers students the op portunity for such freedom. For many people, CU Is the only opportunity they will ever have to whole-heartedly pursue their Interests for a period of time without their pursuit belnd divided by other commitments. Such ridiculous statements as, "I would have loved to have done CU when I was a freshman or a sophomore, but now that I'm a senior, I have too many courses I have to take," seem to sum marize the belief of many USC students. Of the 140 students who have participated in Contemporary University to date, the greatest portion have been juniors and. -seniors. All of those 140 students fulfilled specific course requirements for their degree with the credif earned from doing their CU projects. Last month the faculty approved the selection of 0 CU par ticipants for this fall semester, thus enabling a much larger proportion of those who apply to participata Take advantage of this opportunity for freedom. Your application will be judged solely on the basis of your project idea and a brief personal intervieW.
