The other guard with Miller is 6'1" senior Jim Kiernan from Brooklyn, N. Y. Although he has started the first three games, he is still not a solid starter since the East Carolina bench has a fine line of guards to provide competition at this slot. Coach Quinn said that he feels the pressure is on Carolina since the Gamecocks, in their high ranked position, must win big against the Pirates to merit any attention.
