The students were part of a group stopped as they reached the airport Saturday m o r n i n g and were told that they could not have signs on sticks. They claimed that they left all their sticks in the car, but were again stopped at the entrance to a spectators' area east of the terminal. Bursey said, "They (police) told us we couldn't come across. They said, 'Give us your flag; give us your signs.'"
