Two sessions will allow a student to complete a full year's work in a course (luring the summer and not have to wait until fall or spring semester to complete the missing course in the sequence. The Florence campus is sched-. uled to offer complete two-course sequences in math, history, En glish, physical science, accounting, Spanish, German, psychology and biology. 0 n e-semester courses in: education, i u s i c, sociology and political science are also scheduled. Registration for the first sum mer session will he held on th: Florence campus June 9. Undergraduate residents of the state pay a tuition fee of $20 per, semester hour credit. The program is designed to fur ther engineering students' interests and understanding of both current engineering practices and oppor tunities in the field of engineering. The students were Ira Culpep ,er, Robert Ewing, Melvin Hen (ricks, Harvey Kami ner, Robert Schiucker and Lewis Webb. Tfhey' were accompaniedl by faculty mem ber Joseph Gibbons. At the conference, 15 institutions throughout the South were repre. se-ntedl, with nearly 175 students p)resent. The program was spon s'red by tbe Oak Ridge Associated 1:niversities (ORAU). Over $200 in prizes will be awarded in the contest. The entry deadline is 5 p.m. Monday. The seven categories are personalities, landscapes, live sports, activities, pets and animals, children and architecture. According to the Arts Committee, each print entered must be no smaller than five-by-seven inches. All prints must be placed on a vertical mount not greater than 16-by-20 inches. All students are eligible for the contest. The panel of judges will include professional photographers as well as students with photography backgrounds. Entries may be left or mailed to the University Union office in the Russell House. Awards include $35 for the best picture in the show, $20 for the best entries in each category and $5 for honorable mention in each category. "I'm sorry about your parade, sir. Art Auction To Be Held In Capstone The 14th annual USC Spring Art Auction will be held Monday night at 8 in the Campus Room of Capstone. About 80 works by art students and faculty members will be sold to the highest bidders. Two-thirds of the proceeds from the auction will go to the artists and one-third will be used for art scholarsh ips.
