L a r r y Buhrman racketed his way to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Herbert of Clemson in the fifth position. Malloy lost his match with Shel ton of Clemson in sets of 6-1, 7-5. In doubles play, Carolina's Heald and Schlosser defeated the Amaya brothers of Clemson .1-6, 6-2, 6-3, to clinch the state championship for Carolina.
