Business Fraternity Canvasses Professional Group Aids Handicapped, Surveys Columbia A survey of establishments in the Columbia area to see which are equipped to handle and serve the handicapped is currently being conducted by a Carolina profes sional fraternity. Conducting the survey of 152 establishments as a service proj ect is Delta Sigma Pi professional commerce and business adminis tration fraternity. The purpose of the inquiry is to provide information to compile a book to be given to handicapped individuals in the Columbia area. This booklet will provide informa tion so that a handicapped in dividual will know whether he car safely enter into any given estab lishment which is listed in the booklet. Kickoff for the survey was held March 15 with Dr. Thomas Stein of Chicago, an expert on archi tural barriers, briefing frater ty members on survey pro dures. Aiding Delta Sigma Pi in con cting the survey is the Easter al Society and the South Caro a Society for Crippled Children d Adults. SMITH, JR., professor of Aerospace Studies, has announced the cumulative g.p.r.s of Angel Flight and Arnold Air Society for the 1964 fall semester. Arnold Air Society, composed of outstanding Air Force ROTC cadets, compiled a 2.895 semester g.p.r. and a cumulative g.p.r. of 2.897. The group was led by Cadet IA. Colonel Norman W. Shull, who had a 3.83, and past Cadet Wing Commander, Cadet Colonel William A. 1. Addisot. Jr., who had a 3.52 cumulative g.p.r. Angel Flight compiled a 2.810 semester g.p.r. and a 2.853 cumula tive g.p.r. Angels Roberta Mears, with a 3.97 cumulative g.p.r., and Patti Knight with a 3.5 cumulative g.p.r., led the Angels in scholarship.
