The Cavaliers came into town to find a Gamecock club that couldn't miss in marked contrast to its previous two outings. Silk smooth Ronnie Collins led the Birds with 34 points as he hit on 11 of 13 FG attempts for an al most perfect evening. Jimmy Collins and Bill Yar brough added 26 and 25 points, respectively, to the Gamecocks' winning margin of 96-82. SANDERS LEADS CAVS Virginia was led offensively by Sanders with 22 and Kastra with 18. Caldwell added 16. Ronnie Collins was again mag nificent as he led the Birds with 32 points. Bill Yarbrough added 23 as he showed some offensive moves that surprised even him. i Jimmy Collins contributed 15 points to the cause along with numerous assists to Ronnie Col lins. Suder led Maryland with 23 as Clark contributed 13 to the losing cause. A five-minute period in which Maryland failed to score while the Gamecocks built a 11 point lead, decided the game.
