IWIS-TV To Governmen c A Continental Classroom course in American Government, to be broadcast this year over WIS-TV, Columbia. will he offered as a col lege credit course by the lxtension Division of the University. ihe two-semester courso, "The Structure and Functions of Ameri ilcan Government," will present an objective and .scholarly analysis of the fundamentals of government and how government policies are made and formulated. An NBC network of more than 170 stations will carry the course throughout the nation, with colleges and universities participating in offering it as a college course. Dr. Peter Odegard, professor of political science at the University of California at Berkeley. will teach the television classes 6:30-7 a.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, Sept. 25. Guest lecturers from high levels of government, industry and the arts and sciences will appear on the average of once a week.
