Wi Air Force To Advar Eleven hundred dollar a year cash grants are proposed for Air Force ROTC Cadets under the new scholar ship program which the Air Force has submitted for congressional ap proval. The Air Force has recom mended the streamlining of Air Force ROTC Units throughout the United States and plans to take the money saved from this streamlining and put it into cash grants for junior and senior Air Force ROTC cadets. The new program has won the support of college officials throughout the United States. Currently there are 174 AFROTC Detachments in various colleges and universities throughout the United States with approximately 107,000 cadets participating in the program. The University of South Carolina is one of the most productive non compulsory units in the nation and will realize the full benefit of the tiew program.
