City Music Festival Announces Concerts The Columbia Music Festival has announced its 1951-52 concert series: "Die Fledermous," opera, by Richard Strauss, November 1; First Piano Quartet, December, 1951; Artur Rubinstein, pianist, January 28, 1952; Singing Boys of Norway, February 2, 1952; .Sad ler's Wells Theatre Ballet, Febru ary 18, 1952; and the Pittsburgh Symphony, March, 1952. Present season ticket holders will have preference for 1950-51 seats through April 27, 1951. A deposit of $8 for each ticket reser vation is required before 5 p. m., May 15. Reservations for season tickets for the 1951-52 concert series may be made at the Columbia Music Festival Association, 18 Arcade Building, phone 5640. Salim Ziady Speaks On Iran Problem Salim Ziady of Iran spoke on "Iran and Its Oil Problem" Thurs day, May 10, at 4 p. m., in build ing C, room 10. The International Relations club sponsored the talk. All students and faculty members were invited to attend. Mr. Ziady was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and is a graduate of the Techiical School of Commerce there. Two dogs, a Russian wolfhound and an English bulldog, were trot ting down a London street. Bulldog: "Boy, a bone sure would taste nice." All postcard applica tions for the test must be post marked not later than midnight May 15. The three testing dates are May 26, June 16, and June 30. All of these dates are Saturdays. A fourth examination will be held Thursday, July 12, for those stu dents whose religious beliefs are such that they could not in con science take the examination on Saturday. Application blanks may be ob tained from the nearest local board; students do not have to re turn home to the local board which has jurisdiction over them. The scores of the tests will be used by local boards in considering student deferments. This entertaining story of a young college student impersonat ing a middle-aged aunt will feature a large cast. Jim Reagan, who has appeared in a number of bit pro ductions, plays the impersonating young man. He flits through three acts alternately encumbered by long skirts and eager suitors. Of the two harassed young men who instigate the whole affair, Charley is played by Cliff Gaddy, last seen in "Signor Chicago" and Miller Lide acts the part of Jack. Char ley's buddy. Bill Melton, long with the UT in the publicity department and more recently as director of "The Emperor Jones," makes his acting debut.
