Plans have it that they are throwing a party tonight at the Woman's Club, 9 thorugh 12, music being supplied by BILLY #IANNA and his band. CHARLES A. JONES, Sigma Chi, did vocal work on the Messiah, presented at the Township Auditorium last Satur day night and Sunday afternoon. The Sigma Chi Quartet, composed of CHARLES A. JONES, CHARLES MERRITT, GEORGE ROTH, and BILL JORDAN, has been asked to sing at the special program being presented by the University Chorus. Knew we couldn't get by a week without someone being pinned. KAY COX of Columbia was pinned by FRANK MARTIN and ED MONTEITH was pinned to HAZEL ANN ANDERSON of Winthrop. Delta Zetas held initiation November 13, new actives being SARA MAE THREVENOT and BETTY RUTH CRAPPS. Pi Kappa Alphas haven't been hiding in a shell by any means. Last Monday night they pledged TED HITT of Augusta, Ga., and-initiated VERNON HARWELL of Land rum into the active ranks of the chapter. Heard for sure this week that PHYLLIS DUKES, Zeta Tau Alpha alumna, has set the wedding date for January 7, 1951. The lucky guy is BILL DELOACHE of Clemson. It's easy enough to get confused and lost while changing trains, but it's in finitely worse when you can't speak the language of the country. Angelo, who has traveled in Italy and France, came over here from Athens, Greece, on December 25, three years ago. His father. an American citizen, had talked of the United States so much that he aroused Angelo's curiosity; so the then 17-year-old Greek, inheriting his father's citizenship, landed in New York in 1947. After two days in New York he set out for Williamson, W. Va., on a train. Faced with the dilemma of changing trains, Angelo could remember only one word . . . tooth pick. He went around saying, "Williamson,". but got nowhere until a strange girl grabbed him andl got him aboard a train.
