The plot of the play deals with the adventures a liberal con gresswoman encounters when she returns from European wartime experiences to her New England alma mater to receive an honorary degree, and meets again the col lege president to whom she has long been romantically attached. Gene Crotty, who dii rects the theater, says that response to the theater's membership drive from university students has been ex cellent, and that many students have bought season tickets. lie added that membership is still open at the theater office. Students interested in singtng in a musical are urged to contact Crotty at the theater. Delta Sigma Pi Alumni Have Party For New Rushees The Columbia Alumni Club of Delta Sigma Pi was host to the rushees of the fraternity at a party given at the Pinewood Night Club on the 3rd of October, at 7:30. The fraternity held its first regular meeting of the fall semes ter and elected George McGregor as treasurer to replace Dominick Trifiletti who has been called into active duty with the Army. City Manager Thomas F. Max well will address the fraternity on the 11th of October. Mr. Maxwell will spenk on problems of city management. All students are cor dially invited to attend.
