EAT YOUR HAT According to a filler used in a recent issue of the Ladies Home Journal, the statement "I will eat my hat if-" does not refer to the something you wear on your head but to a culinary experiment which appeared ,in England many years ago. It seems hats were made of eggs, veal, safron and a con glomerated assortment. The dish never became popular, ex cept as a term in a bet.
