STUDEN'fS Officiating in the Wake Forest game b)rought storms of protest in the fornm of booes, mostly from students. It can be safely said that officiating in that game was not up to par. Many fouls were committed that they d8d not call and the game nearly got out of hand. The Maryland game was offici ated by two good officials who (lid make a few mistakes, mostly on out-of-bounds plays. No officials are perfect, but Williams and Breeland did a good job, and caught a lot of things the aver age fan never sees,- but in the case here, always boos. And they didn't call them all, either. When 45 fouls are called in a Southern conference game, that may be more than usual, but noth ing like the number that have been called on the nation's top teams in Madison Square Gar dlen. In two games there in one night, a total of 143 fouls were called. AUTOMOBILES FOR RENT '$5 per 24-hr. day Special Rates fojr Trips Renting hour--8 a. mn., 'til 7 p. mn.
