Perry. who died as a result of burns received from a boiler explo sion while acting as officer of tile day aboard the USS Bennington in San Diego harbor in .July of 1905. The dance will be held at the Jef ferson Ilotel, and the music will be furnished by Melvin IHemphill and his orchestra. The KA dance is a tradilion at Carolina, being held each year after the Clemson-Carolina game. It is given in honor of the alumni, and is attended by graduates from all over the state who revisit the cam pus during Fair Week. The dance is part of the yearly festivities which convince the returning alum ni that the "ole Carolina spirit" is still rampant. Joe Reintjes announced the bids to the dance.have been extended but that all students, faculty, and alumni are Invited to the affair.
