The ques tionnaire concerns recreational work that students would like to partake of during their spare time, and was distributed in the naval barracks un (er the direction of the Officer of tle Deck and in the civilian men's har racks by special students appointed f,.r this particular purpose. Play in a Pool Tournament, Sing in a Glee Clhb, Play in ain orchestra. 2. 1 think we ought to have and I w%ou1ld liV'. to participate in : Satur * day night dances, " l"appy Hour" or Stunt programs in the chapel. The preceding officers were Charlie Knowlton and I)olie Brown, chairman and secretary respectivel. Sole iurisdiction over all cases ariing outt of breac hes of honor and infr:actions of the .11onor I'rin ciple fall to the I tonor Council. Ah solute ,ecrecy is kept of all hear ings of the council. In addition to the trial of cases involving violation of the Hionor Principle, the council spends much of its time in 'correct ing general .e ssroom weaknesses and in impressi A'i-pon studcnt and profescor the importance of honor. Invc-6gaiion of each case is pains takingly thorough, and testitnony or technical information in the more difficult cases are gotten from spe cialists. The secrecy of all coun cil proceedings emphasizes the as pect of protection for accused stu dents, a protection that has meant the only way for fair treatment in many cases.
