Coeds' Code For Big Rush Perhaps it is because of our ma tronly air, or the fact that Dorothy Dix is out next best friend's cousin's aunt-but so many bewildered beau ties have pestered us about rush party "p's" and "q's" that we de cided to publish gleanings from our twenty year, experiences in the hot box cornersl In the first place-don't expect to be the star in this little drawmar, even if you do liik your Hedyist. You dear, are merely sceneryl More important, than your ego is that your date's frat dupe some other frat out of catching that poor squirming innocent little rat. Personally, we always slip a few volumes of history into our pocket book just to keep us amused. But then, you may like knitting better. When the rushee lad is led up to you-Elinor-show your teeth grin your brightest and whitest at your date as if to say, "Lo-the eighth wonder of the world." And whisper audibly, 'G'ee, he's really an angel." Then turn to the rushee, dazzle him with that slow Myrna Loy smile, wink confidently and whisper (loud enough for your dat to hear, too) "We know yhich frat has the best bunch on the campus, don't we?" Then look knowingly around the room. (This assures another in vitation to this fraternity's parties I) If the frat is a drinking bunch (water, of course) shall we say since the frat is a drinking bunch) say--"These boys are such dear dopes-always full of fun I" If they are the BIG MEN ON THE CAM PUS type exclaim, "So active, y'know." If they are the scholarly type,-bue we don't know any who are, so skip that I Having done your bit, retire quietly to a corner while your date puts the pressure on. Or if you can shoot the Ferdinand fast as a tobac co salesman, they may leave you alone with the rushee. If so, con tinue the aforementioned line until you can hand him to the boys wvrap ped in tissue paper and wailing to be pinned up; or until he says (as our. last victim did), "Go on and talk. It makes me feel good and I'll' do wvhat I want to, anyway!') Photograph FOR Every Purpose CHARLES OLD NEW ADDRESS 1711 Main Street Mrs. Shealy's EESTXATD SANDWIOE8 There's, None So God Rush .
