FINAL PLANS MADE ' FOR BEAUX ART BALL Anti-Bellum Motif Used ' Annual Dance One of Outstanding Social Events of ?-Year Final plans for the dance given by the Beaux Arts Club ami election of new members were the main points of the meeting held Wednesday night at the home of Sally Bailey. An ante-bellum motif has already been planned by the club for their annual dance, which will be held around the first of March. The location for the dance has not yet been definitely decided, but a pleasant surprise is predicted for everyone if their plans work out. There are thirty members in this c*lul>?fifteen girls and fifteen boys. The annual dance is one of the outstanding social events of the year at Carolina. ?u. e. o.? D'Horvath to Give Violin Recital Madame Felice Dellorvath, head of the violin department of the University, will give a recital before the Musical Arts Club of Charleston, February 25. Her program will consist of the following numbers: "Arioso," by Bach; "Meditation," by Massenet; "Nocturne," opus 19, No. 2, by Chopin; "Ballade et Polonaise," by Vieux Temps; "Chanson Meditation," by Cottenet; "Hymn to the Sun," by Rimsky-Korsakoff; "The Swan," by Saint-Sacns; and "Serenade," by Toscli. Mrs. Maurice Matteson will accompany Madame Dellorvath at the piano. ?u. s. c.? Humphries to Give Program Over WIS William Humphries will give a half-hour program of violin music over WIS Tuesday night, playing Handel's "F Major Sonata," together with several shorter compositions. Mr. Humphries is a senior at the University, and is a pupil of Madame DeHorath's. ?u. s. c. CHANGES IN FLINN HALL WILL SOON BE FINISHED The redecoration of Flinn Hall, with the exception of the front porch, is completed. The pool room has been made into a University memorial room and pictures of University players, cups and trophies, now in the Student Activities office, will be placed here shortly. u. c. c.
