Alpha Kamma Initiates ? 4 All Are Co-Ed Leaders National Honorary Leadership Sorority Has Ceremonies In Delta Zeta House Eleven new members were initiated into Alpha Kappa Gamma, national honorary leadership sorority, Tuesday evening, November 7, at the Delta Zeta house. Those initiated arc: Sara Calhoun, Helen Bell, Katherine Bush, Irene Chitty, Cornelia Jackson, Susan Forbes, Coles Heyward, Betty Payne, Eleanor McColl, Margaret Ycadon, and Dell Goodwyti. The Misses Calhoun, Heyward, and Payne, were pledged last year and the others were tapped Tuesday, Octobcr 31, in chapel. This sorority bases its requirements on the part taken by the candidates in campus activities. Among the new members are a former president of the Y. W. C. A., presidents of sororities, a president of the Euphrosynean literary society, president of Damas, president of K. S. K., and leaders in every activity on the campus open to co-eds. The officers of Alpha Kappa Gamma arc: Dcna Citron, president; Lucilla Mikell, vice-president; Juddie Knox, secretary; and Josephine Griffin, treasurer. Frances Caldwell, *33, an alumna of the sorority, is the national vicepresident. The committee in charge of the initiation was: Margaret Patrick, chairman; Mary Wright Shand, and Lucilla Mikell. Following the initiation services, coffee and sandwiches were served by the committee. v. m. o. Personals Coles Heyward and Blanche DuBose visited in Washington, D. C. last week.
