It is entirely a voluntary organization, financed by a group of patrons of the University and the city who contribute one dollar yearly to its music fund. Four concerts are given yearly, producing overtures, symphonies, and suites of various moods. This is the only orchestra of this size and balance in the State of Soilth Carolina.
