AROLINA S* EROY GRIFFITH HURT BY COTTON GIN TRAP as Head Crushed While Repair ing Press-Chance for Recovery Good eroy Griffin was seriousely injured ile at work in a cotton gin near his me in Orangeburg. It appears that press he was running caught on e object, and when Griffin looked der to see what was the matter he cidently pushed the press lever. he falling press caught his head tween the sides of the press and the ss box, and crushed it before aid uld reach him. For a while it was thoought that e injury might prove fatal but he s recovered somewhat at the pres t. Miss Grace Otter, of Louisville Ky. and Professor Calcott of the history department were married August 5 at the formers home in Louisville. Imi mediately after the ceremnny th bridal couple left in a car for a west ern trip, which took them through Missouri and Texas.
