M. 8:30 P. M. (Continued from Page One) North Carolina, Maryland and New York, all conscientiously striving to carry forward the greatest work of the ages. Though the religious purpose was pre dominant, yet the many opportunities for social enjoyment offered by such a gathering were taken advantage of with out need of urging. Besides the pleas ure of dates and the reception many of the delegates enjoyed for the first time the privilege of eating in a dining hall with over a thousand South Carolina's finest girls, all as much "thrilled" at having the delegates as the delegates were at being there. The "Carolina" delegation was not an exception, and from the time Earl B!ack scared the man out of the station Fri day morning at Rock Hill to the time Crosby arrived at the Union station and stopped flirting, everyone had a fine time and feels that the trip was well worth while. Y. W. C. A. Meeting. The new Co-eds were the guests of the Y. W. C. A.. last Monday afternoon, February 12, 1923, in Melton Hall. A fter the devotions, the president, Miss Lor raine Hendry, made a welcoming address, and the meetnig was resolved into an in formal "get-together" in order that the old Co-eds might become acquainted with the new arrivals. The program being thrown open. Miss Em \Vilson acted as master of ceremonies, and stunts and jokes were offered by almost everyone present. Delicious refreshments were served and the afternoon was pro nounced a decided success by all present. Euphradian. Last Tuesday eveuing, February 13th, the members of the Euphradian literary Society enjoyed one of the best meet ings that the society has held this year. Not the least important feature of the meeting was the excellent attendance. \V-ithout a doubt there were fewer empty seats in the hall last Ttiesday evening than there have been at any previous meeting this year. Tle society is to be congratulated upon the increased interest - shown in the society's activities by both old and new members. As such renewed interest is bound to have a most bene ficial effect upon the quality 'of the weekly programs, it tmight safely be said that the Euphradian Society is once again well on the high road to literary achievement. lit the absence of Mr. Wittkowsky, the vice-president, Mr. "Jenks" Thompson, presided over the meeting in a most courteous and efficient manner. The fol lowing program was carried out: Witticisms, Boatwright and Edwards. Extemporancous speaker, Polier. T1he dlecision of the house was in favor of the negative. TIhe judges, Edwards, Fishb)une and Shierrill, after - much deliberation, dleclaredl for the af firmative. The hotise was v'ery appre- - ciative of the dlebate and voiced its in terest by several extemporaneous speech es on the question discussedl.
