Chimora stuntn body, OFFICERS-ELECTED FOR POLITY CLUB Plans Outlined for Smoker in Near Future At its regular bimonthly meet ing Friday night the Inter national Polity Club elected the following officers: president, R. R. Harley; vice president, W. C. Mann; secretary, J. M. McIn tosh: treasurer, J. I. Rice; repor ter, L. M. Cannan. L. B. Harrison presided over the meeting. The regular pro gram and speaker were dispen sed with. Plans were made for a smoker two weeks hence. MINOR NEWS ITEMS The enrollment for the 1916 -17 session has passed the 500 mark. The average age of the stu dents in the various c;asses has been compiled by the Dean and is as follows: New men entering freshmen, class, 18.7. Freshmen, 19. Sophomores, 19.9. Juniors, 20.8. Seniors, 22.3. Specials, 27.8. Junior Law, 23.4. Senior Law, 24.4. These ages are computed for January 1st, 1917. Moses, the well known janitor! of the library and Flinn Hall, was caught last week by See retary King in the back of the Y. M. C. A. gambling, arrested and convicted in police court. His fine was $25.00 and Secretary King's was $5.00. This is the amount Moses owed Mr. King :n a personal debt. Moses has been dismissed from the jan itors corps. PROF. McCUTCHEN BACK Prof. George McCutchen, who has been away on leave of absence ;erving as clerk of the house ,ommittee on agriculture, return ed last - Friday , and took charge >f the department of economics.
