Cmow BAPTISTS REFUSED TO PLAY SECOND TEAM Break Date With University at Greenville, Nov. 18. - The football game that was scheduled to be played between Carolina and Furman on Thurs day, Nov. 18, at Greenville was cancelled by Furman on the day before it was to be played. It is a difficult matter* to get! at the real cause of the cancella tion, but rumor has it that the Baptists did not wish the Game cocks to - send the scrub team against them and, as Carolina would not send the entire Var sity to play them, Furman call ed the game off. This action was a source of some disappointment to the sup porters of the Garnet and Black, for, while they were confident of adding Furman to their al ready lengthy list of victories, they looked forward to an inter esting game. The Baptists have put out a very snappy eleven this year for a comparatively small school and their squad is super ior to the one of last year. Ladies Lick Liquor.
