Association Meeting. The Y. M. C. A. meeting was addressed Wednesday even ing by Mr. Daniel Iverson of th Columbia Theological Seminary. The subject of his inspiring ad dress was "Hunting for Big Game." The one outstanding note of his talk was that of per sonal work. Mr. Iverson emphr-s'zed thE fact that a man's greatest need is a saving knowledge of Jezuc Christ; if a man is to succed ir life he must take Juses Chris1 into his business as an equa partner. TI e: efore it is or E duty to supply this know!edgE to those who (o not have it that a few words from a friend will do more towards bringing a man to acknowledge God as his personal savior than a hun. dred sermons under ordinary conditions. The speaker went on to say: "For you the opportu nity is great and the obiigatiom strong to lead men to Christ right here in this college." Mr. Iverson closed with th< fact that the greatest joy tha can come te a man is the joy o: knowing that he is responsibl< for bringing at least one soul t< Christ. The speaker used per sonal experiences to illustrat< each point andl he did this witi telling effect. An added attraction of th( evening was the rendition o: two solos by talent from Chi cora College. A violin solo wa gtiven by Miss Dnn!m. a DO YOU TAKE /"YOU R COLLEGE WEEKLY? IF NOT, WHY NOT? The University of South Caro lina and the Medical College of I Charleston have entered into an agreement by which lectures are to be exchanged between the two colleges. The first of these lec tures was delivered in LeConte College Wednesday night by Dr. Lynch. In return for this address Dr. Josiah Morse, professor of Psychology, Sociology and Phi losophy will speak at the Medi -ai College on November 24. His subject will be "Society and Medicine." Dr. Morse is a speak er of great force and he will, no doubt, be cordially received by the embryo doctors. The University now offers a course preparatory to medicine and these lectures should prove extremely beneficial. The idea of these exchange lectures has already proved a great success in many institutions. Students of one college get to hear promi nent speakers from other col leges. Professors of one insti tution obtain new ideas by min gling with professors of another institution, the colleges themsel ves are brought into closer rela tions with each other, and the in stitutions as a whole are greatly benefitted.
